Objective

After the successful completion of the course, students understand advertising campaign planning as a part of  marketing communications, are able to plan and implement campaigns and other professional projects in a team, are able to work according to good project work practices, are able to apply the information acquired creatively, are able to work in a customer focused manner and are able to provide justifiable explanations for their work, are able to take the ethical and ecological aspects into consideration in planning and implementing of projects have learned to tolerate uncertainty and changing situations at least to some degree, have learned to take joint responsibilty for the activity of their team, know the marketing communications field in Finland, understand the demands of the international environment as well  

Content

Basics of marketing communications Familiarity with the marketing communication field Familiarity with the stages of advertising campaign design Familiarity with the pricing of advertising agencies, media and one's own work Working in teams planning and implementing real working-life projects  Acquisition of information and customer relations Written campaign or project reports Learning diary Interim and final presentations of project outcomes.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Self-assessment, peer assessment and feedback from customers and teachers. Assessment will consider team working skills, activity and attitudes, customer relations as well as how well students apply their knowledge and skills.. Learning outcome: Excellent (5), good (4-3), satisfactory (2-1), failed (0).
