Swedish preparatory course (5cr)

Objective

The Swedish Preparatory Course is primarily targeted at students for whom the course is compulsory.  Therefore, only those students get a grade and the credits for the course. However, if the participant quota allows, any student interested in refreshing their knowledge of the basic structures of Swedish is welcome to take the course. The competence level aimed for is B1 in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, which is the level required on the Swedish course included in the Bachelor's degree. After successfully completing this course, students are able to : use their knowledge of  various means of learning a language and find a suitable learning style for themselves use language aids such as dictionaries, search engines, and language learning software describe themselves, their living area and studies interact in simple communication situations use language structures satisfactorily produce simple written texts

B1 level is reached by completing verbal, written and listening exercises, and by revising basic vocabulary texts and situations related to studying and working life sentence constituents and word order - noun inflection and use - verb inflection - future and conditional tense, att-particle, main-structure - adjective inflection and comparison - word order in main clauses, interrogative clauses and subordinate clauses - pronouns - numerals - basic prepositions and temporal prepositional phrases
