Objective

Knowledge, understanding and proficiency of STCW table A-VI/1-4 function: Personal safety and social responsibilities. This course concentrates on learning the following competencies:
- comply with emergency procedures
- take precautions to prevent pollution of marine environment
- observe safe working practices
- contribute to effective communications on board ship
- contribute to effective human relationships on board ship
- understand and take necessary actions to control fatigue.

Content

This course contains theory studies in the following subject areas:
- work on board ship
- safe working practices in different work and emergency situations
- communications and human relationships on board ship.

The content of this course complies with IMO model course 1.21.
