Objective

To be able to evaluate one’s own activities and understand the concept of inner entrepreneurship
To be able to assess the work group’s resources and prioritise work tasks and the related responsibilities
To understand the importance of leadership in nursingTo understand the fundamentals of entrepreneurship within the health care industry and as a part of the service system

Teaching methods

Scheduled track:
During the course, we have lectures and discussions, small group exercises of several contents of the course. Pre-assignments for small group working, the subject will be deepen during class room teaching.
Written assignment; you have to assess your self-awareness, leading yourself and your own know-how according to the goals of the department. Assignment will be evaluated. We will practice the concepts of quality assurance in the small groups, preparing for that by using internet beforehand. Instructed reading assignment to the next lesson will be given, for ex. supervision and control. Written exam.

Student workload

The course consists of 135 hours. Class room teaching 24 h + exam 2 h. Pre-assignments for small group working 19h. Written assignments 50 h. Familiarizing with literature 40 h.
