Objective

The student understands the basic physical theories, which the technology related to professional studies is based on. The student learns how to make measurements, how to handle the measurement results, how to approximate the reliability on the results and how to write technical reports. The student gets skills in physics so that she or he is able to apply his knowledge in physics in professional studies and in working life.

Content

Fluid mechanics, temperature and thermal expansion, ideal gases, humidity of air, thermal energy, heat transfer, the basics on mechanical vibration and waves, acoustics, the basics of electrical engineering, the basics of optics, radioactivity, laboratory works.
