Objective

After the course you are able to:
- explain the most common energy conversion processes and their operating principles
- solve energy conversion process power and efficiencies mathematically
- apply thermodynamical diagrams for calculating energy conversion processes
- explain steam turbine control methods.

Content

How do the most common energy conversion processes work such as steam turbine, gas turbine, water turbine, wind turbine, diesel and gas engines, ORC process, heat pumps?
How are energy conversion process power and efficiencies calculated?
How are thermodynamical diagrams used?
What are the steam turbine control methods?
