    Energy engineering, part-time studies

Objective

After this study you can:
describe the heat transfer in a heat exchanger
measure the current and voltage
measure the distribution of forces in lifting hook and support forces of the beam
describe the water and steam temperature and pressure dependence of the pressure in the boiler
define and measure the efficiency of the combustion process
explain the operating principle of a simple steam power plant

Content

How does a heat exchanger or solar heating operate?
How are current and voltage associated with each other in an electric circuit?
How to calculate the support forces?
How are pressure and temperature dependent on each other?
What is efficiency and how is it determined?
How to convert the chemical energy of fuel into electrical energy?
