Objective

- You are familiar with the principles of animation.
- You are able to convey realism and believability through an animated object and character.
- You know how to use software for traditional and interactive animation purposes.
- You understand different animation techniques.

Content

- What is 2D animation?
- How to utilise the 12 principles of animation, such as anticipation and squash and stretch?
- How do you do animate a character’s walk and run cycles?
- How to create interactive animations?

Materials

To be announced at the beginning of the course.

Scheduled track:
Teaching which is in accordance with the working order and control ( 5 cr).

Independent track:
Demonstration/recognition of prior learning.

Blended track:
Contact lecturer.

A student who has reached the level 3 is able to:
a. use professional vocabulary related to animation systematically.
c. identify tasks related to animation pipeline from planning stage to a finished animation.
e. use animation techniques, principles and software.
