Content

Being a student at a university of applied sciences:
What is XAMK like in terms of studying community and learning environment?
What is your personal career and study plan?
What kind of a learner are you and how do you develop your study skills?
How do you make your internal entrepreneurship support your goals?

Professional know-how and ethical principles:
What are the national and international operating environments, procedures and the rules of the workplace?
What are the ethical principles of the profession and how to apply them to your work?

Preparation for working life:
What are your own professional strengths and employment skills and how do you use them in your personal networks?
How do you apply for a job?
What kinds of post-graduate study opportunities are there?

Teaching methods

Scheduled track:
You will attend teaching and guidance sessions as specified in the weekly schedule. There are two parts in this course, Academic writing is held by English teacher.
Your study routine is determined by the scheduled group sessions and by the self-study assignments.

Student workload

135 h, of which 60 hours are worked in a classroom. Homeworks, exam preparations and report writing takes the rest of the time.
