Objective

You identify the most important domestic tree species macroscopically. You know the microscopic and chemical structure andthe physical properties of wood. You are able to identify the defects of wood and you know their significance in the wood processing industry. You can analyse the connection between the raw material and end products in different stages of the refining processes of the forest industry.

Content

What arethe features of the microscopic and macroscopic structure wood material? What kind of impacts can the physical properties and defects cause inthe wood processing industry? What are the most important processing methods in the woodprocessing, paper and cardboard industry?
