Objective

Client-orientation
• you are able to support the involvement of the client’s family in the care and respecting the viewpoints and strengths of the client

Ethics and professionality in nursing
• you are able to produce, share and utilize expert competence in multidisciplinary teams, networks and partnerships

Clinical nursing
• you are familiar with the normal proceedings of pregnancy, labour and post-natal period, and you are able to monitor them
• you are able to support and promote the well-being of families with children
• you are able to support families in parenting and newborn care
• you are able to assess the need of urgent and emergency care
• you are able to support the functional ability and participation of a disabled person
• you are able to perfrom pharmacological treatment in maternity and family nursing

Evidence-based practice and decision making
• you are able to evaluate the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and assess nursing interventions according to the decision making process in maternity and family nursing
• you are able to utilize research knowledge (recommendations, reports based on research evidence) in nursing decision making in maternity and family nursing
