Objective

You acquaint yourself with the organization and development and legislation of Finnish early childhood education, care and day care service.
You are able to examine the child-centered approach as an educational basis and know how to build an educational relationship with a child and a family.
You are capable of planning, implementing and assessing activities in a group of children and based on the National Curriculum Guidelines on Early Childhood Education and Care.
You are able to observe and study child’s play from developmental theoretical and interactive perspective.

How is child-centeredness defined? What does it mean as an educational approach? What does child-centeredness mean in early childhood pedagogy?
How are activities for children in day care planned, actualized and evaluated based on the National Curriculum Guidelines on Early Childhood Education and Care?
