Objective

You can provide education and support clients in matters related to couple relationship and family planning.

You can plan, implement and evaluate the follow-up and support of families expecting a child regarding their health, welfare and resources in cooperation with them.

You can observe the health of a mother and foetus and identify risk factors related to pregnancy and childbirth and refer to further treatment if necessary.

You are able to manage the phases of childbirth and act in an emergency childbirth plan, implement and evaluate the need for support of the newborn and family as well as increase the participation of the family.

You can plan, implement and evaluate the follow-up of growth and development of children, in cooperation with the clients.

You can support children in choosing health promoting alternatives.

You are able to encourage families in parenting and promotion of healthy lifestyle.

You are able to evaluate the need for increased support and for a referral to further care.

You are able to maintain and promote a safe community and environment for children in cooperation with families and different interest groups.
