Objective

You understand the basics of hot water heating systems in buildings, their structure, functioning and operation. Main topic is hot water heating systems (hydronic heating). You will also get preliminary skills to dimension and choose the space heating units and heat distribution piping.
You will also learn to design and dimension the components and the equipment of the hot water heating system in buildings. In your decisions you take into account thermal comfort, health, total economy and environmental aspects. You get acquainted with the software of some component manufacturers.

Content

How the heat demand of the building is calculated for design the heating systems in spaces and in whole buildings?
What kind of parts the heating system consist of and what are the functions of all parts?
With what kind of ways of heating, parts of heating systems and heat sources can hot water heating in a building be realized?
What kind of methods, practices and co-operation of designers can the requirements for heating be achieved?
What are the requirements of authorities for calculations and documents which full-fill the demands?
