Objective
1. You understand the key variables and concepts of thermodynamics and apply them to HVAC equipment, systems and processes.
2. You analyze the operation of HVAC equipment, such as pumps, fans and compressors as part of the piping or ductwork using thermodynamics concepts and variables, and understand the principles of basic types of thermal power plants and steam process as a whole.
3. You apply the main rules of thermodynamics to flow machines.
Content
What is thermodynamics and what are its main concepts and variables and how do they relate to machines, equipment and systems of HVAC?
How do pumps and fans operate as part of the piping and ductwork and how can their properties be analyzed?
What is the steam process and how do thermal power plants work and how can their performance be analyzed?
How do you apply the main rules of thermodynamics to HVAC systems and what can be analyzed with them?
Qualifications
Attending the course requires basic knowledge of the course of Thermophysics.
