Objective

You understand the factors that contribute to the overall security of society as well as the social environment from a security perspective. You get a comprehensive understanding of the state's security strategy and strategy-guiding decision-making, as well as policy documents. You recognize the implementers of the strategy and their role as builders of internal security. You also understand the key changes in the security environment, the challenges and Finland's role as part of the international security environment. You understand the division of labor and collaborative structures in internal security. You familiarize yourself with emergency response, Police, Border Guard, Customs and rescue services. You also understand how immigration management works. You will also get basic information on Finland's defense capabilities.
