Objective

You understand that preparedness and crisis management help an organization to identify, anticipate, and protect against unexpected situations as effectively as possible, because disruptions are often surprising and require fast decision-making. You are able to define the basics of preparedness requirements and best practices for organizations and society and apply them in practice. You are able to define the actors involved in preparedness and their main tasks. You are able to plan, evaluate, and develop self-preparedness and procedures. You understand the importance of preparedness for business continuity. You understand the obligations imposed by the Emergency Powers Act and the Rescue Act with regard to contingency planning.
