Objective

You are able to take into account the financial goals of a service enterprise and act accordingly from the leadership point of view.
You are able to interpret financial information.
You are able to utilize financial information in management decision making.
You are able to apply the most common price setting methods.

How can the profitability of a service enterprise be affected?
How does the price setting affect the profitability of an enterprise?
What do financial statements indicate about the financial situation of a service enterprise?
What kind of key ratios and indicators can be used in analyzing the economic situation of a service enterprise?
What kind of calculations can be used in decision making?

- Bettner Mark S: Using Accounting and Financial Information, 2014. (The book is available as an e-book from the XAMK’s Kaakkuri Library.)
- Texts and articles compiled by the teacher
- Three sets of PP-slides related to the book Elliott-Elliott: Financial Accounting and Reporting. (Book is not mandatory). PP-Slides can be found on the Learn website.

10.1.2022 Course starts
10.1.2022 18.00-19.00 (6-7 pm) and 13.1.2022 16.00-17.00: Teams-meetings. Voluntary course start meeting, come to one or the other if you can and do. Let's go through the course and its assignments. There is no actual lesson in the meeting.

13.2.2022 Return Assignment A (Part 1).
13.3.2022 Return Assignment B (Part 2).
24.1. - 24.4.2022 Exam "Book" (Part 3). Take the exam optionally during this time period.
11.1.-10.4.2022 Exam "Texts" (Part 4). Take the exam optionally during this time period.
