Objective

You deepen your knowhow in biomechanics, pathophysiology and the healing processes of musculoskeletal disorders and their connections to movement and functioning.
You know the scientific background and bases of implementating the main concepts in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, and you are able to assess them based on evidence and clinical reasoning in order to promote the clients’ therapy processes.
You can compare extensively different physiotherapy methods and choose and justify the most appropriate ones for the clients' needs.
You can assess the effects of physiotherapy of clients suffering from musculoskeletal problems and refer them to further examinations or to other specialists, when needed.

How do you identify severe pathological conditions by using differential diagnostics?
How do you examine and identify neurological and neuro-dynamic factors related to musculoskeletal disorders?
How do you examine and identify lower extremities’ function and problems?
How do you deepen and show your evidence-based knowhow of affecting the musculoskeletal disorders, such as muscle functions, movement, coordination and biomechanics?
How do you use scanning and technology in physiotherapy?
How do you deepen and show your evidence-based knowhow in treating vertebras, joints and soft tissues?
How do you plan and implement physiotherapy for clients with incontinence problems?

Qualifications

Attending the course requires that the learning outcomes of the 1st and 2nd academic year studies have been achieved.

The course can be integrated with the courses of Clinical practice III, IV or V.
