Master's Degree Programme in Logistics
Objectives
Logistics is an international field that develops and reacts quickly to the needs of the society and business life. At Xamk Logistics master studies the concentration is on analyzing, interpreting and developing the logistics field. The education is centered on future orientation, change and development. Through the education you will deepen your logistics knowledge by multifaceted means, maintaining a practical focus.
The applicant must have a technical or marine technology university degree (BSc or MSc). In addition, the applicant must have a minimum of two years’ work experience gained in an applicable position/field after the graduation. Own interest in developing one’s skill set, in addition to the interest in further studying, form a best platform for the studies.
The study program is aimed at persons having logistics work experience, wishing to deepen their logistics field related knowledge.

The scope of the study program is 60 credits (ects)

All students participate in the core competence courses.

Implementation of studies
The education is implemented as a combination of lecture days, distance learning and virtual lectures; you may thus study while working. Having a workplace, however, is not a necessity.
There will be one to two lecture days per month at the Xamk university premises at Kouvola Campus.
RDI and cooperation with world of work
Xamk has strong cooperation networks to the local companies, public sector and the third sector parties. The most important worklife partners of the education are logistics service providers and industrial and commercial organizations.
Learning environments
The education utilizes e.g. Moodle and different networking platforms and communication means (e.g. MS Teams, Skype). Separate courses utilize learning methodologies and environments that are suitable for each subject/topic.
