Objective

1. You can use proficiently vocabulary and concepts related to heat sources, different heating systems and their parts in buildings. 2. You can justify the selection of heat source and heat emitters and their importance in the designing phase by your expertise from the good thermal comfort conditions and energy efficiency perspective. 3.You can select and dimension functional heating systems, heat distribution and control of heating power based on your heat demand calculations and you can balance heat distribution to meet the requirements of good thermal comfort and energy efficiency in buildings.

How are the calculated heat demands distributed to different heat emitters in rooms and spaces? *How is the distribution network and its equipments dimensioned ? *How is the circulation pump head and flow ratecalculated and how is selected an energy efficient pump? *How is the heating power regulated to meet momentary heat demand with control valves? *How is the heat distribution balanced with the help pressure loss calculations? *How is the heating system equipped with correct safety and expansion devices? *How are the different parts of heating systems connected together to become a functioning whole?
