Research methods and reporting (5cr)

Objective

You use different kind of a research- and development methods during your studies and in development and research work. You know the main qualitative and quantitative research methods and use different data collection and analyzing methods and understand the basics of the statistical data processing methods. You read and analyse critically statistical data. You communicate and report your research and development work in Finnish and English.

Content

What kind of a quantitative research methods exists and how they can be utilized in the field of study How do I plan, write and present clear reasearch report? What kind of a tools and methods exist to analyse numerical data and how the reliability of data will be assured? What are the sources of data needed? The course contains 2,5 ect of integrated mathematics
