Objective

After the successful completion of the course students are able to: describe the current structure of social work and understand its future challenges locate the social sector within the public service sector understand the principles of professional ethics recognize the factors that influence the development of the social sector recognize the historical development of  work practices in the social sector

Content

Essential contents: structure of professional work within the social services sector role and competence of a Bachelor of Social Services social services sector in relation to other parts of Finnish society values, concepts of human nature, and ethics of social work social policy and the development of  Finnish society
