Objective
You can solve kinematic problems with Newtonian mechanics and with the energy principle. You learn to calculate collisions, and you understand what conservation of energy, linear momentum, and angular momentum means in daily life. You know the atomic structure and behavior of the substances, chemical bonds, properties of substances and different types of chemical reactions. You can write basic chemical equations, solve problems dealing with solutions, gases, pH, and amounts of substances needed for reactions. You know applications of chemistry in everyday life and in technology.
Content
How can you predict how the objects move? Does the car stop before the pedestrian on the road? What is a closed system, and how the energy conservation principle is used to solve problems? Why you need Physics and Chemistry in information technology? Why are the properties, appearances and reactions of substances different? Can you enhance reactions? What kind of solvent is needed? What kinds of chemical reactions take place in applications like fuel production and burning, in batteries or electrolysis? What is corrosion and how can you prevent it?
