Objective
You know basic concepts of Probability Theory and Statistics. You are able to perform statistical decision making by means of probability theory. You are able to model relationships between random variables by means of collected data. You are able to apply probability theory and statistics in engineering.
Content
What means sample space, random variable and how probability is defined for discrete and non-discrete random variables? How knowledge is used to update probabilities? How data is described statistically? Which kind of predefined distributions there are for random variables? How statistics and probabilities are used in decision making and engineering applications? How relationships between random variables are recognized by means of collected data?
