Objective

The students should be able to: ·     Work from a commissioning brief ·     Produce artistically and technically competent illustrations based on the requirements of an assignment ·     Understand and develop a clear relationship between the original text and the illustration. ·     Be able to understand the interaction of image and text/typography in order to enhance and reinforce meaning ·     Recognise the appropriateness of various art media depending on the mood or expression required of the illustration
