Objective

The student is able to: identify the characteristic features of a report and a thesis gain a good understanding of the use of language & format, practice & receive guidance on summarising, paraphrasing, quoting, and referencing material understand the implications of plagiarism and avoid it when writing efficiently use language tools and search engines draft and proof-read report/ thesis text create a thesis abstract according to KyUAS’ guidance apply the acquired knowledge to their work creative and critically apply their knowledge about the information needed in a design process   can anticipate different kinds of situations beforehand in their project research plan set targets, pose the research question and the frame of reference for their  project choose the appropriate research methods for the project analyze how the chosen methods will interact when solving the research question and draft from it an essay with references draft a list of references and be critical with them draft a realistic timetable for the project
