Objective

You understand the basics of adhesive bonding and the basic properties of adhesives and you also understand the damage mechanisms of bonded joints. You can consider the factors having influence on the strength and durability of the adhesive joint. You understand the requirements of design, testing and other relevant factors related to adhesive bonding applied to industrial use.

Content

What is adhesive bonding? What is a bonded joint, and how does it work? What factors affect the strength and the durability of the adhesive joint and how are they taken into account? When should I use bonded joints? What are the key considerations in the design and use of bonded joints? How should you design welded joints? What are the most common mechanical joints and how should they be designed??
