After completing the course, the student: understands the economic and ecological importance of energy and material savings in wood product manufacturing knows the consumption of energy in wood product manufacturing (timber and wood-based panel manufacturing) knows the raw material consumption and raw material waste in wood product manufacturing is aware of potentials for energy and raw material savings in wood products manufacturing is able to develop the manufacturing processes to enable greater savings in energy and raw materials
