Objective

You can describe the effects of functional disorders and diseases of musculoskeletal system and their effects to person’s mobility and functional ability. You can reliably assess and evaluate musculoskeletal functions and their effects of functional ability of clients of different age groups. You can evaluate and give the reasons for the common functional disorders of musculoskeletal system based on clinical reasoning and physiotherapeutic differential diagnosis of the different ages of clients. You can design client-specific, progressively advancing musculoskeletal physiotherapy in cooperation with your client and justify your solutions based on evidence. You are familiar with the criteria of the pathophysiology and pharmacology of the musculoskeletal system in physiotherapy. You know the basics and therapeutic impacts of mobilization, stabilization and physical therapy on musculoskeletal disorders. You can assess and evaluate the effectiveness of physiotherapy based on evidence. You can evaluate your know-how and skills in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. 

Content

How do you describe functional capacity of musculoskeletal system? How do you assess and evaluate musculoskeletal functions and their effects of functional ability? How do you use medical and pharmacological knowledge in physiotherapy? How do you use patho-, exercise- and neurophysiology and biomechanics in musculoskeletal physiotherapy reasoning? How do you apply individually evidence-based  knowledge in physiotherapy planning? How do you support your client´s participation and create therapeutic interaction with her?  How do you use and justify appropriate manual and physical therapy methods?
