Objective

You get an idea of ??the overall occupational welfare factors. You know the basic concepts of occupational welfare, and you know how to look at occupational welfare both from the individual's and the organization's point of view. You know the physical and psychosocial stress factors of the podiatrist's profession and how they affect the daily work. You know the most common impacts of special circumstances on the stressload and you know how to act in emergency situations. You know about occupational safety, the health and safety of working environment as well as the means and measurements needed in assessing accident prevention. You select the appropriate solutions regarding both your work and your customer's safety in order to prevent and solve problems. You instruct and promote safety issues related to podiatric products and their use in therapy situations and encourage customers' awareness of safe products.

What kind of concepts are included in occupational health and how is occupationalsafety and health maintained? What are the stress factors in podiatrist profession /occupation? What kind of occupational safety and health factors should the podiatric care provider take into account (facilities, equipment, maintenance, aids) to maintain and promote the safety of the customer also in special circumstances?
