Objective

After this course you can:
• analyze the current state of energy and water usage in buildings or production plants based on historical data.
• understand the content and significance of building or production plant energy auditing.
• divide the consumption of energy and water between the largest consumer groups.
• understand the theoretical framework for aspects that can typically improve the energy efficiency of buildings.
• use measuring devices required in energy audits.

Content

• Where is energy and water consumed in buildings and production plants?
• What is an energy audit and why is it performed?
• What equipment and assemblies consume energy and water?
• What measures can typically improve energy efficiency?
• What are the measuring devices used in the energy audit?

Accomplishment methods

Students can:
a) use professional vocabulary and concepts in an expert way in different situations.
b) assess information sources critically.
e) choose appropriate models, methods, software and techniques according to the purpose and justify these choices.
