Objective
After completing the course, studentsadopt an analytical, critical, research-oriented and reflective approach in R&Dcan carry out the different parts of an R&D project:choice of topic, planning, information retrieval and constructing a conceptual basis, appropriate use of sources, implementation, written and oral reporting, evaluation, publishingare familiar with different R&D methods in qualitative, quantitative and processual research and can choose and implement one of these in their own studypractices evaluating the reliability and ethicality of a study
Content
Bachelor’s Thesis process and its parts, writing and citing sources, research ethics and the reliability of an R&D process.Statistical concepts and introduction to statistical IT-tools. Data acquisition and analysis.Qualitative approach and introduction to the most common field-specific qualitative methods (e.g. some of the following: case study, observation, content analysis, theme interview, picture analysis, future research)Processual approach and introduction to the most common field-specific processual methods (e.g. some of the following: cycle model of action research and other user-oriented/participatory methods)
