Procurement of IT services (5 cr)

Objective

You know the procurement processes of information systems and can manage them as a information management specialist. You are able to manage requirement analysis processes and know user-oriented development methods. You can evaluate the quality of information systems.

Content

What are the phases of information system procurement processes? How are procurement processes and requirement analyses managed? What kind of user-oriented development methods are available related to systems procurement? How can you evaluate the quality of information systems?

Evaluation

Students can
b) solve demanding problems in research, development and innovation activities.
d) be responsible for the procurement of IT services and for developing them independently.
e) evaluate different strategic approaches and justify their use from the viewpoint of the procurement of IT services.

Opiskelumateriaali ilmoitetaan opintojakson alussa ja se löytyy pääosin verkko-oppimisalustalta.

Study forms and methods

Mikäli tietojärjestelmien hankinnoista on aikaisempaa osaamista, voi opintojakson suorittaa näytöllä. Siinä tapauksessa yhteys opettajaan ennen opintojakson alkua. Näyttö toteutetaan haastatteluna.

Opintojaksolla ei järjestetä tenttiä.

Student workload

Työmäärä on n. 135 tuntia opiskelijan itsenäistä työskentelyä.

Assessment methods and criteria

Opintojaksolla on neljä pakollista, aikatauluun sidottua oppimistehtävää, joiden palautuspäivämäärät ovat noin 2-3 viikon välein. Oppimistehtävistä saa pisteitä ja opintojakson kokonaisarvosana muodostuu oppimistehtävistä saatujen pisteiden perusteella.
