Objective

Client-orientation
• you know the importance of cultural backgrounds in nursing and you are prepared to encounter clients from various cultures

Ethics and professionality in nursing
• you understand the nature of nursing as a profession and the professional identity of a nurse
• you are able to assess and develop your own work and take responsibility for your actions
• you are able to evaluate your own skills and development in interaction with others
• you are able to share and use professional competence and partnership work skills in multidisciplinary teams and networks

Clinical nursing
• you are able to support and promote the well-being of families
• you are familiar with the normal proceedings of pregnancy, labour and post-natal period, and you are able to monitor them
• you are able to support families in parenting and newborn care

Evidence-based practice and decision making
• you are able to apply research knowledge (recommendations, reports based on research evidence) in nursing decision making
• you are able to evaluate the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and assess nursing interventions according to the decision making process
• you are able to utilize research knowledge (recommendations, reports based on research evidence) in nursing decision making

Promotion of health and functional ability
• you are able to plan, execute and evaluate interventions promoting health and functional ability on individual, group and communal levels utilizing multi-disciplinary and multi-professional networks

Patient education competence
• you are able to plan, implement and evaluate patient education in a client- and group-oriented manner together with other professionals
• you manage patient education as part of nursing work in different contexts

• identification of the need for a change, definition of aims and agreements on the means to meet objectives

Evaluation

Assessment criteria level 3, competence during the completion phase.
You know how to
c. work as a team member in expert duties and identify and describe the problems of the professional field
d. evaluate operations in customer, user and target group situations
e. choose appropriate models, methods, software and techniques according to the purpose and justify these choices
f. promote the team’s goal-oriented operation
g. apply critically the ethical principles of the professional field

Työviikkopohjainen väylä:
Harjoittelun suorittaminen harjoittelun ajoitussuunnitelman mukaisesti. 3 op suoritetaan työjärjestyksen mukaisesti koululla ja 12 op työelämässä.

Opintoja nopeuttava väylä:
Voit suorittaa harjoitteluja myös oman aikataulusi mukaisesti. Ota yhteys OVAan. Kuitenkin niin, että 3 op suoritetaan työjärjestyksen mukaisesti koululla ja 12 op työelämässä.

RDI and work-related cooperation

3 op suoritetaan koululla työjärjestyksen mukaisesti ja 12 op oman opintosuunnitelman mukaisesti työelämässä.

HARJOITTELUN OSAN LASTEN- JA NUORTEN YKSIKÖISSÄ edellyttää, että sinulla on äitiys- ja perhehoitotyön opintojakso suoritettuna ennen harjoittelua.
