Objective

After completing this course you
• know the basic concepts concerning the diversity of sexuality and gender
• know the global sexual rights and recognize the factors affecting sexual rights in your own environment
• have the ability to reflect your own values and attitudes to sexuality and sexual rights
• understand what sexual health is and how it is promoted.

Content

This course is 5 credits and it is 100% online.
The course includes three themes: 1. Sexuality, sexual and gender diversity 2. Sexual rights 3. Sexual health.

Sexuality, sexual and gender diversity 1 cr:
Learning objectives:
you understand the basic concepts according to sexuality, sexual and gender diversity

Sexual rights 2 cr:
Learning objectives:
you are able to evaluate the level of sexual rights in your country
you understand how legislation affects the realization of sexual rights

Sexual health 2 cr:
Learning objectives:

you know the principles of prevention of the STIs
you know how STIs are passed on and prevented
you know the signs and symptoms of STIs
you know the basics of fertility
you know the main methods of contraception
you understand how the type of sex affects the method of contraception and the prevention of STIs
you know what is female genital mutilation (FGM) and the background of this procedure
you know the types and health risks of FGM
you know the background of non-therapeutic male circumcision (NTMC)
you can evaluate why NTMC is controversial from the perspective of sexual rights
