Objective

You know the basics of the strength of materials needed in construction design.
You know how to estimate the behaviour of a loaded structure and understand different material properties and material models.
You know how to calculate geometric properties of a cross section.
You know how to determine the load bearing capacity of a cross section.
You know how to calculate the deformations of structures.
