Objective
You can communicate in Russian and act in a goal-oriented manner in everyday communication situations at European level (CEFR) A1.1
You display familiarity with the Russian-speaking culture.
You can apply language structures in communication settings.
You master the Russian phonology and orthography.
After completing the course with grade 3, you can
• master the Cyrillic alphabet and the Russian rules of pronunciation
• recognize and use the most important types of intonation
• ask and answer simple questions
• greet other people and say goodbye
• inquire about the latest news and how someone is doing
• introduce yourself, your family and tell about your home
• give information about your nationality and occupation
• give information about the location of things
• use simple expressions of time

Evaluation
The student can at European level (CEFR) A1
a) use basic vocabulary.

c) communicate in Russian in everyday situations.

Further information
Online Teams classes twice a week require active participation with voice connection.
Classes Tue 2:30 - 4:00 p.m and Thu 8:15 - 9:45 a.m. (Finnish time, UTC/GMT +2 hours)
Classes are not obligatory but highly recommended.
Classes include a lot of interaction in small groups or pairs in breakout rooms.
Big room sessions (not breakout rooms) are recorded and available for those absent.
