Objective
The nursing process
You know how to create a good care relationship.
You can systematically monitor and evaluate the patient's well-being.
You can report according to the ISBAR protocol.
You will master the basic knowledge and skills about the key help methods needed in nursing.
You will master the basic knowledge and skills of the key diagnostic tests required in nursing.
You will be able to respond to the patient's need for care by applying key methods of assistance.
You master the key principles of pain monitoring and assessment.
You will master the basics of basic resuscitation and using a lay defibrillator.
You recognize the signs of impending death and know how to implement post-mortem treatment.
You know how to face and care for a dying patient and support his or her loved ones.
Aseptic operation
You know the principles of infection control and know how to apply your knowledge when implementing infection control.
You know the disadvantages of infections at the individual level.

Clinical nursing: Preclinical training is part of obligatory clinical training for EU-nurses. Every lesson is obligatory. All the subjects are found from Learn.
Practical nurses:
You may show your knowledge and get endorsement in theoretical skills with an exam.
You may get recognition of prior learning through Ahot-process. Information for this during the orientation week.
Ergonomics (0,5 sp)
Ergonomics-card gives you recognition of prior learning.

Kliinisen hoitotyön perusteet ja prekliininen harjoittelu includes preclinical training (3,5 sp nursing, 0,5 sp ergonomy) at school.
Clinical training (working life) is 6 study points. This is different course.
Possible expert lectures or working life visits.

Final exam is electronic exam in the exam rooms. The learning tasks and practice exams must be taken before the pre-clinical practice

Theory: Completing the learning tasks assigned to the student. Evaluation: complemented - passed.
Exam, evaluation: failed-1-5.Exam 70% has to be right, scale 1-5/fail.
