Objective

Knowledge and understanding of and proficiency in:
- generation of electric and magnetic fields and how they are applied to electrical machinery
- working principles,characteristics and design of transformers, electric motors and generators
- synchronizing and switching on generators to a ship's electric network

- working principles and constructions including maintenance of transformers, synchronous machines and DC commutator machines, equivalent circuits
