Objective

You know the basics of designing conventional concrete structures.
You are able to dimension, for example, beams, columns, walls and foundations and produce the necessary plans.

Content

Concrete as a material. Concrete and steel interaction. Environmental loads and their consideration in concrete structures. Structural calculations. Dimensioning of reinforced concrete beams for bending and shear. Anchoring of reinforcements. Beam dimensioning at serviceability limit state. Dimensioning of pillars and walls. Dimensioning of footings. Concrete elements. Production of drawings.
