Content

How to do profitable business in the field of software development?
How are application development projects planned and managed? What are the productization and marketing methods of software products?

Course material

Completing the course does not require any separately purchased materials. The study material will be published in the Learn environment at the start of the course.

Study forms and methods

Studying takes place in the Learn environment. Access to the course platform opens on the day the course starts. Studying is paced by learning assignments completed independently/in groups. Assignments must be returned within the given schedule.

Timing of exams and assignments

The course is completed with learning assignments, which are assessed according to separate criteria. The deadlines for the course assignments are announced in more detail on the course platform.

Student workload

1 credit corresponds to approximately 27 hours of student work. However, the workload depends on study skills and previous knowledge. In a 5-credit course, the student's workload is approximately 135 hours.

Course part description

The course consists of two separate parts: a business of software development and a project management.

Further information

The course involves small groups working on a joint project assignment with the Service Design course. It is recommended to complete both these courses at the same time.

Assessment methods and criteria

The assessment is made in comparison with the learning objectives and assessment criteria of the course. The course is assessed on the basis of learning tasks: learning tasks give points, which are used to form the grade for the entire course.
