Objective
General learning outcomes
You know the basics of axonometric and descriptive geometry and can draw a perspective picture with one vanishing point from three different projections.
You can draw a circle, ellipse and free curves in perspective by free hand.
You master proportions in a perspective picture.
You can use line thickness as an effect.
You can use presentation technique methods to create credible presentation pictures by free hand.
You can combine pictures and text in a presentation poster.
You know the basics of how to use shades and shadings in a perspective picture.

How to implement the European first angle projection?
How to mark the dimensioning in accordance with the standards?
How to draw a perspective picture?
How to visualise an idea by drawing?
How to create coloured inner and/or outer views?
How to present a small object as an axonometric presentation picture and as projections?
How to create a presentation poster?
Fashion and Costume Design
How to present coloured presentation pictures of clothing on a person or different materials and surface forms with different tools?
Graphic Design
- How to illustrate pictures based on text and stories?
- How to design and implement proper illustration?
- How to choose the right illustration technique?
- How to take target group needs into consideration in the illustration process?
- What are the limitations of publication?
- How to manage the illustration process?
Bioproduct Design, Interior Architecture and Furniture Design
- How to draw perspective pictures of people, spaces and products?

Students can
- use the key models, methods, software and techniques of the professional field
Course material
Available in Learn platform. Possibly different books, articles etc. which the teacher will hand out. During the course students will need different art mediums (pencils, pens, papers etc) which they will buy according to a list given out.
Study forms and methods
Studies can follow different tracks depending on students’ situations in life. There are three different tracks for the studies: scheduled track, independent track and blended track

No exam - the assignments given during the lectures will be turned in at the end of the course for grading.

Student workload
Equals approximately 135 hours of student work - about 4 weeks. The course includes partly guided workshop type work and lectures and partly independent working.
Course part description
During the course students will learn about fashion illustration. Same illustrating principles are used in the costume design field and overall in fashion design.
The skill that are learned during the course are:
- drawing anatomically correct humans
- drawing clothed fashion figures
- picking right mediums to use in rendering different fabrics
- short introduction to fashion illustration as a career and where/when it's used

Assessment methods and criteria
The assignments given during the lectures will be turned in at the end of the course for grading. Grading between 1-5. Attending the lectures and workshops, amount of assignments turned in, the personal development during the course and creative touch are emphasized in the grading.
