Objective

Knowledge and understanding of and proficiency in:
- the basic concepts of high voltage technology
- basic components of high voltage technology
- basic calculation methods for high voltage technology

Content

- overvoltages
- limiting overvoltages
- voltage strength of insulation structures
- insulation coordination
- testing and measurement technology

Evaluation

Students can
- use professional vocabulary and concepts in an expert way in different situations
- choose appropriate models, methods, software and techniques according to the purpose and justify these choices

In addition, competence evaluation according to STCW code table A-III/6 column 4 are used:
- operations are planned and carried out in accordance with operating manuals, established rules and procedures to ensure safety of operations
