Objective

You can communicate in very simple everyday situations and are able to apply vocabulary and structures needed in those situations at European level (CEFR) A1.1.
You know the basics of Russian pronunciation and writing.
You familiarise yourself with the Russian customs.
You can use different tools for learning Russian.

Content

What kind of vocabulary and structures do you need in very simple everyday communication situations and how do you apply them?
What are the pronunciation and writing rules of Russian?
What features are there in Russian customs?
What kind of tools for learning Russian you can use?

Evaluation

Student can at European level (CEFR) A1.1:

a) use vocabulary and structures in very simple everyday communication situations

b) look for information in the key information sources, for example in dictionaries

c) identify very simple everyday communication situations

d) work in very simple everyday communication situations at beginners’ level

Course material

The following literature is used in the course:

Alestalo, M., 2020 tai uudempi. Kafe Piter 1. Finn Lectura.

Other study materials are provided by the teacher via the Learn platform.

Study forms and methods

The course is mainly carried out by way of unscheduled online study but it also has 9 scheduled online lessons. Online lessons are not being recorded.

Participation in scheduled online lessons is not mandatory. Online lessons are not recorded.

Studies are carried out on the Learn platform.

Access to the platform opens no later than on the starting day of the course.

In addition to having an internet connection, the students must also have at least audio connection during online lessons.

RDI and work-related cooperation

This course does not include RDI and work-related cooperation.

Timing of exams and assignments

An online exam will be held at the end of the course.
The date of the exam will be informed on the Learn platform.
