You can plan costumes for various productions.
You understand the significance of characterisation in costume design.
You know your role in the planning team.

How to carry out costume design and characterisation?
How to analyse text or other starting points of the performance?
How and where to seek information and ideas?
How to apply what you have learned in design tasks?

Evaluation

Students can
- use professional vocabulary systematically.
- look for information in the key information sources of the field.
- identify interrelated tasks.
- work together with customers, users and target groups.
- use the key models, methods, software and techniques of the professional field.
- work as team members in a goal-oriented way.
- justify their actions according to the ethical principles of the professional field

Mahdollisesta yksilöllisestä oppimisväylästä tulee neuvotella opiskelijavastaavan ja opettajien kanssa.

RDI and work-related cooperation

No RDI project. The course lectures will present examples from work life.

Timing of exams and assignments

The course has smaller tasks and the deadlines are given to the students during the course.
Students will design costumes for one chosen play and they need to submit the costume drawings by last course lecture.

- script analysis
- costume design based on a script

- the course outcome is costume design for one play as a larger project

Arviointiin vaikuttaa:
- luennoille osallistuminen
- opintojakson aikana annettujen tehtävien laatu ja palautus aikataulussa
- loppupalautus: pukusuunnittelutehtävän taiteellinen laatu ja innovatiivisuus
