Objective

• You are familiar with the individual and interindividual variability, effects and influencing factors of the progression of aging changes.
• You are familiar with the interaction between illnesses and health-related changes and aging processes.
• You are familiar with the mechanisms, prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of older adults' key diseases.

Content

What is biological aging?
How are genetic and environmental factors related to aging?
What factors explain the change in older adults' functioning?
How are aging changes and diseases connected?
What is the continuum of health, disabilities and diseases?
What is the morbidity of older adults?
What are the characteristics of older adults' diseases?
How do aging changes affect the progression, treatment and rehabilitation of diseases?
