- You understand the multidimensional nature of the concept of culture and its significance in interpersonal interactions.

- You know the role of current global phenomena behind immigration.

- You are familiar with Finnish legislation and service systems supporting integration, as well as factors promoting and preventing integration.

- You are able to support integration from a culturally sensitive perspective.

What significance does culture play in interpersonal activities?

What kind of global factors influence immigration?

How is integration promoted through Finnish legislation and service systems?

What factors promote and prevent integration?

How do you work in a culturally sensitive way?

Evaluation

Students can
a. use professional vocabulary systematically.
b. look for information in the key information sources of the field.
c. identify interrelated tasks.
d. work together with customers/clients, users and target groups.
g. justify their actions according to the situation.
