Objective

You are able to apply your knowledge of the status and fundamental rights of minors and disabled persons when carrying out nursing work.
You understand children's and young people's normal growth and development.
You are able to apply your knowledge of the most important diseases of children and young people when carrying out nursing work.
You are able to safely carry out children's and young people's medication and fluid therapy.
You are able to observe and support families as part of children's and young people's care.
You know the most common developmental disabilities.
You are able to apply your knowledge of key developmental disabilities when carrying out care work for a person with developmental disabilities.
You can apply your knowledge of the most common ear, nose and throat diseases when carrying out nursing.

What are the most important rights for minors and persons with disabilities in health care?
How do children's and young people's normal growth and development progress?
What are the main diseases of children and young people?
What are the key nursing functions used in children's and young people's care?
How do you safely implement medication and fluid therapy for children and young people?
How do you consider and support families in children's and young people's care?
What are the most common developmental disabilities and nursing functions used in disability care?
What are the most common ear, nose and throat diseases and how are they treated?

Evaluation

Students can
a. use professional vocabulary and concepts systematically.
b. look for information in the key information sources of the field.
e. use the key methods of nursing.
g. justify their actions according to the ethical principles of the professional field.
