Objective

You can provide education and support clients in matters related to partner relationship and family planning.
You can plan, implement and assess the follow-up and support of families expecting a child regarding their health, wellbeing and resources in cooperation with them.
You can assess the health of a mother and foetus and identify risk factors related to pregnancy and childbirth and refer to further treatment if necessary.
You are able to manage the phases of childbirth and act in an emergency childbirth
You can plan, implement and assess the need for support of the newborn and family as well as increase the participation of the family.
You can confirm motherhood and paternity.
You can plan, implement and assess the follow-up of growth and development of children, in cooperation with the clients.
You can support children and families in choosing health promoting alternatives.
You are able to encourage families in parenting and promotion of a healthy lifestyle.
You are able to evaluate the need for increased support and for a referral to further care.
You are able to maintain and promote a safe community and environment for children in cooperation with families and different interest groups.
You know how to take into account multiculturalism your work.

What is family planning, sexual and reproductive health? How do you implement antenatal education?

Students can:

Äitiys- ja lastenneuvolatyö: Opiskelumateriaali ilmoitetaan opintojakson alussa,ja tiedot löytyvät opintojakson Learn-alustalta.

Study forms and methods

Opintojakso (10 op) koostuu äitiysneuvolatyöstä 3 op, lastenneuvolatyöstä 4 op, WHO:n imetysohjaajakoulutuksesta 1,5 op, jälkitarkastuksesta 1 op ja lastensuojelusta 0,5 op.

RDI and work-related cooperation

Opintojaksoon liittyy käytännön harjoittelujakso. Äitiysneuvola- ja lastenneuvolayössä on työelämästä tulevien asiantuntijoiden luentoja.
WHO:n imetysohjaajatodistuksen saaminen edellyttää neljä tunnin imetysnäytön tekemistä käytännön harjoittelussa.

International cooperation

Tunneilla käsitellään asioita myös monikulttuurisesta näkökulmasta ja käytetään englanninkileistä materiaalia.

Luennot ja harjoitukset.

SÄÄNNÖLLISEN SYNNYTYKSEN JÄLKITARKASTUS 1 op
a) Itsenäinen ennakoiva verkko-opiskelu (vuorovaikutteiset kätilön ja terveydenhoitajan H5P-asiantuntijaluennot, lakisääteiset lääkärioppitunnit, virtuaalisimulaatio ja diagnostinen teoreettinen alkutentti
b) kliininen harjoittelu oppilaitoksella (skill station, simulaatiot ja taitonäyttö) yhtenä lähiopetuspäivänä

LASTENSUOJELUTYÖ 0,5 OP
Luennot ja oppimistehtävien purku.

ÄITIYS- JA LASTENNEUVOLATYÖ:
Tentit ja tehtävä arvioidaan asteikolla 1-5. Asiantuntijavierailuilla läsnäolovelvoite on 100 %. Osa myös muista tunneista on läsnäolovelvotteisia.

WHO:N IMETYSOHJAAJAKOULUTUS:
Tehtävä arvioidaan asteikolla hyväksytty-hylätty. Osallistuminen harjoituksiin. Läsnäolovelvoite tunneilla 100 %.

JÄLKITARKASTUS:
Hyväksytty/hylätty. Hyväksytty suoritus edellyttää hyväksyttyä alkutenttiä (yli 102 pistettä) sekä osallistumista kliiniseen harjoitteluun kampuksella.
